Stroud Green Primary School's Student Council makes a valued contribution to the successful running of the school.
Each class democratically elects two school council representatives, who work on behalf of their classmates to make a positive contribution to their school and its environment.
Once elected, councillors take a lead on promoting positive behaviour, fund raising and ensuring that the pupils' voices are heard on school issues.
The school council is comprised of two children from each class from Years 1 to 6 (one boy and one girl), who meet on a fortnightly basis to discuss school issues.
The outcome of their discussions are then taken to the senior management of the school - and has an influence on major decisions at the highest levels.
